Native Plants Landscaping Project
Originally, this project was conceived of by the homeowner, who wanted to save water and not have to maintain a lawn in a location with clay soil and punishingly hot summers.
Initial site plans were drawn up by myself, and plants were picked and grouped collaboratively with the owner, with suggestions made by me. Turf grass was removed, rock and path elements and edging added, and then plants and mulch were added over time, matching or amending the plan.
The result merges native plants with existing plants (plumeria) as well as having some herbs and plants desired by owner (roses in front of porch).
Additional plants have been added (as well as fencing to contain a hyperactive dog) in the backyard, but the plants are lush, spreading, and low water.
